Employee Ownership Association shortlists MyCSP’s Sharon Crosland for achievement award

2 Nov 2016

Sharon Crosland, company secretary and head of governance & legal services at MyCSP has been shortlisted by the Employee Ownership Association for her commitment to bringing employee ownership to life.

Sharon has been involved since the original task force was set up by the government to review how employee ownership via a ‘mutual joint venture spin out’ could be adopted as a business model for central government services.

Being instrumental in creating mutual structures Sharon drafted MyCSP’s constitution, set up the Trustee Board and the Employee Partnership Council.

She has represented MyCSP in seminars across Her Majesties Government supporting the mutual programme by sharing learning and experience with other government employee ownership candidate organisations. She also supports the wider employee ownership movement to disseminate good practice and learning by participating in conferences and seminars.

David Boardman, Communications Director at MyCSP said, “This nomination is well deserved as Sharon was one of the team that developed the blueprint for the company that now manages the pensions for over 1.5 million people, on behalf of 340 employers. But, most important is the fact that 25% of the company is owned by its employees, the employee partners, and it’s been Sharon’s overarching commitment to this mutual model that has contributed to its success.”
