Free seminar for Harrogate businesses on their requirement to provide a workplace pension

Harrogate and North Yorkshire businesses are being offered a free and totally impartial seminar on their legal requirements to provide a workplace pension to employees.

The free seminar will be run by one of the UK’s largest pension administrators, MyCSP, who looks after the pensions of 1.5 million people. MyCSP will provide training on what’s called ‘Auto-Enrolment’, giving employers a bite-sized introduction to the subject and more importantly, their responsibilities.

MyCSP has a dedicated pension training team which in 2016 ran 200 courses.

This latest, free seminar is aimed at smaller to medium sized employers, but is open to any employer that wants to better understand the requirement to provide staff with a workplace pension. It will cover the basics of the workplace pension, often referred to as ‘Auto-Enrolment’, including employer responsibilities, legal deadlines, qualifying and non-qualifying staff, financial commitments and possible penalties for failure to comply,

The seminar will be held on Wednesday 19 July, at the Cedar Court Hotel in Harrogate and start at 8.30am for registration, coffee and breakfast.

Anyone wishing to attend should email katie.hilton@mycsp.co.uk

Laura Bowler, MyCSP Head of Training & Support Services comments; “As a team, we provide training on all aspects of pensions, but also know that the workplace pension is one of the most misunderstood. One of our corporate beliefs is improving pension understanding for all and as a result, we are delighted to offer this free seminar to businesses in Harrogate and North Yorkshire.”
