MyCSP announce two new appointments in Scheme Communications and Risk Management

MyCSP, UK central government’s first mutual joint venture set up to administer the pensions of some 250 current and ex-government departments, has announced the appointment of Robin Lee and Jill Le Marquand as part of their business transformation plans to deliver high quality pension administration, training and employee engagement services to their 1.5 million members.

Robin Lee has been appointed as Head of Scheme Communications. He will be responsible for devising the communications strategy around the 2015 pension reforms, as well as taking a lead in defining engagement strategies for employers and civil service pension scheme members.

Ian Merga, MyCSP’s Chief Operating Officer commented on Robin’s role.

“Robin has taken on a very challenging role. He will need to design and deliver clear communications material to some 1.5 million scheme members around some of the most radical changes to pensions since 1948. I am confident Robin has the skill to convey these complicated messages in meaningful and easy to understand ways which will help our members manage their pension arrangements effectively.”

Jill Le Marquand has been appointed as Head of Enterprise Risk Management & Insurance. Jill’s role is to lead and manage MyCSP’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework, policies and controls and to deal with all business insurance matters.

MyCSP chief executive, Nicola Hurst, commented on MyCSP’s most recent appointments:

“Building a team of top management specialists at MyCSP is essential in order for us to provide the best services in our market. Robin will help MyCSP to strengthen our communications services to schemes and will play a vital role in communicating with members and employers in the Civil Service Pension Scheme through a period of significant change to the scheme, as the government’s public service pension reforms are introduced in 2015. Jill Le Marquand will develop and have us working within a world-class ERM framework and both bring a wealth of corporate and public sector experience to our business.”

Robin Lee joins MyCSP from RPMI Ltd and has previous experience of the Civil Service through working at the Department for Transport, Local Government and the Regions, the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister and the Department for Communities & Local Government.

Jill Le Marquand joins MyCSP from Scottish Widows Investment Partnership in Edinburgh and has previously held a number of risk and compliance roles for Newton Investment Management Limited (part of BNYMellon), Capita Fiduciary Group Limited and BNP Paribas Trust Corporation in Jersey. Jill has over 25 years’ experience in the financial services industry.
