MyCSP donates £250 towards equipment for New Fordley Football Club

MyCSP has donated £250 towards equipment and side line coats for Newcastle-based football club, New Fordley Juniors.

Carol Alexander, employee partner at MyCSP’s Newcastle office, has a grandson who plays for the New Fordley Under 12s, who play in the North East Young Development league.

The Club operates in a small community village made up of Annitsford, Fordley and Dudley, and they currently run ten teams, which are mostly made up of players from the village.

The Club, which is a registered charity, needs money for new, larger goals; a full set of football strips; and the £350 league registration fee. It’s also looking for sponsors for new training wear, side line coats and equipment.

Carol and other members of New Fordley Juniors have joined forces to help boost funds by raising money through bake sales; making teas and coffees on match days at the club house; organising tombola with prizes donated by players’ families; fortnightly dominoes; and a family fun night in July. Carol approached her employer and sourced the donation from the MyCSP Community Fund.

Carol, from MyCSP, said: “The boys love their football; it helps keep them fit and healthy. Any donation is gratefully received so we’re extremely grateful to MyCSP for their donation.”

David Boardman, Communications Director said, “At MyCSP we’re committed to giving back to our local community. This is our opportunity to support our staff in helping a local charity that benefits people in the Annitsford, Fordley and Dudley areas. We’re more than happy to help”

Potential donors or sponsors can contact the club secretary, Joanna Williams on 07889 708151 or email
