MyCSP employee ‘braves the shave’ for cancer charity

26 Sep 2016

An employee from Liverpool-based pension services provider MyCSP has so far raised £1,300 by shaving off his hair and beard for Macmillan Cancer Support’s ‘Brave the Shave’ campaign.

MyCSP’s Community Fund, which supports employees in their fundraising, donated £500 towards the great shave off.

Tom Fletcher, who works in the enquiry centre at MyCSP, decided to shave off his hair and ‘much-loved’ beard of 4 years in order to raise money for his chosen charity.
‘Brave the Shave’ encourages individuals to stand proudly alongside men, women and children with cancer by encouraging people to shave their hair, beards, or both in aid of the charity.

Tom Fletcher said, “Macmillan is such a great charity that helps so many people and their loved ones facing cancer. I’m extremely grateful to MyCSP’s Community Fund and all my friends, family and colleagues who have helped to raise this money.”

David Boardman, Communications Director, MyCSP said, “We’re proud of the sum Brave Shaver Tom has raised and are delighted the money will go towards a charity that offers essential support in every area of life to cancer sufferers.”
