The Woodlands Hospice in Fazakerley, Liverpool has received a £500 donation from local pension’s services provider MyCSP, raised through the MyCSP Community Fund, created to help good causes.

MyCSP Employee Partners Lee and Tony Murphy applied for the donation after recently spending six weeks at the Hospice when their mum was diagnosed with terminal cancer.

The Woodlands Hospice is a charity that relies on over £4 million a year to be able to continue to provide much needed help and support to the families of terminally ill people.

Lee Murphy, MyCSP employee partner, said: “We would like to raise as much money as possible for the hospice. The support we received from the staff was amazing and, as we knew my mum was not going to be here to see me get married in August this year, they even held a blessing for us in the Hospice. We are really grateful to MyCSP for this kind donation.”

David Boardman, Communications Director, said, “We are proud of our staff and feel that we should help them with causes that are close to their heart and, at the same time, give back to the local community. Fundraising for worthy causes like this is exactly why we set up the MyCSP Community Fund.”
