St Mary’s Hospice, Ulverston, supported by Walk to Remember and donations from local employer
17 Aug 2017
Rebecca Cole from Wavertree, Liverpool, who works for local employer MyCSP, recently completed the Walk to Remember by running the 10 mile course around Ulverston in just an hour and a half.
Her enthusiasm over the ground was matched by her fundraising for St Mary’s Hospice, Ulverston, raising £400 which included a £250 donation from her Liverpool employer, MyCSP.
The MyCSP Community Fund was launched three years ago to support local causes and has so far donated over £40,000 to 85 different fundraising campaigns.
Rebecca Cole, MyCSP, comments; “St Mary’s Hospice played a big role in my family over the past year since my Grandad was diagnosed with terminal bowl cancer, providing him with wonderful support. The hospice carers also helped my Nana throughout the year, supporting her with everyday tasks that she is unable to do herself."
David Boardman, Communications Director, MyCSP said, “St Mary’s Hospice is a fantastic support to those suffering from terminal illness, as well as their families. On behalf of the MyCSP Community Fund, we were delighted to support Rebecca and her fundraising for St Mary’s.”
